Every piece we sell is guaranteed genuine. If an item is ever found not to be authentic, we refund you in full — the purchase price and the return shipping.
That is the whole promise. The rest of this page explains how we get there, so you can judge whether it is worth your trust.
Who we are, plainly stated
LifeCreation is an independent reseller of pre-owned goods, based in Nagaoka, Niigata, Japan. We are not an authorised dealer, and we have no affiliation with, endorsement from, or connection to Louis Vuitton Malletier or any other brand whose items we resell. Every trademark belongs to its owner.
We say this clearly because a shop that blurs the line is a shop worth being careful with. We would rather tell you exactly what we are.
Where our pieces come from
Japan has one of the most established secondhand luxury markets in the world, with dealer auction houses that have operated for decades. Items pass through a documented chain of professional hands before we ever see them, and the market has long-standing norms around disclosure and grading.
We buy from these auction houses and from established dealers we have worked with over time. We do not buy from anonymous online sellers or unverified private sources.
How each piece is checked
Every item is inspected in our own studio before it is photographed or listed. We look at:
- Materials and hardware — the weight, finish and ageing behaviour of the leather, canvas, zips and clasps.
- Construction — stitch count and regularity, edge painting, lining fit and interior finishing.
- Heat stamps and markings — font, spacing, depth and placement of any stamped text.
- Date and serial codes — recorded as observed and checked for internal consistency with the model and materials.
- Overall coherence — whether every element of the piece agrees with every other element.
Anything that does not resolve to our satisfaction is not listed. We would rather absorb the loss than pass on a doubt.
What we record for you
On each product page you will find the date or serial code, the material, the country of manufacture and our own reference number, alongside hand-measured dimensions. Codes are recorded as we observe them during inspection. They are a factual detail about the item, not a certification issued by any brand.
If we ever get it wrong
If you have an item independently assessed and it is found not to be genuine, contact us with the assessment. We will refund the full purchase price and your return shipping cost. There is no time limit on this guarantee.
We hold this position because we believe in our process — and because a guarantee that expires is not much of a guarantee.
